Seven is the number of the highest peaks in the seven continents, and seventy is the age of our protagonist, Carlos Soria, one of the major references of alpinism and Himalayism of the 20th Century. The documentary narrates his roving around the world’s mountains through the friends in his roped team, an adventure which started almost without realising it when, in 1969, he reached the McKinley peak in Alaska. ![]()

LINEA CONTINUA 17’ Italia/Italy 2010 Zuzendaria/Director: Hervé Barmasse, Giacomo Berthet, Damiano Levati Ekoizlea/Producer: A.S.D. Les yeux du Mont Cervin – Hervé Barmasse Four generations, one sole purpose: going to the mountains in search of adventure, again and again! This is the Barmasse family of Valtournenche: mountaineers, alpinist, explorers and mountain guides on Matterhorn. It was on this very “Gran Becca”, as the Val D’Aostans call Cervino, that on the 17th of March, 2010 spanning 2 generations, father and son tied in together. An old Project, attemped 24 years prior by Marco’s father, taken up on this day by Marco and his son, Hervé. A difficult route, defined by some of the greatest alpinists of the 1980 as “one of the last logical projects in the Alps”, it still remained incomplete in 2010. ![]() Photo: Hervé Barmasse

AIZKORA HOTSAK GOI MENDIETAN 60’ Euskadi / Basque Country 2011 Zuzendaria/Director: Eukeni Arriortua Ekoizlea/Producer: Bideografik Ekoizpenak www.bideografik.com Three characters, one journey and one final aim: the donation of the car to the Felix Baltistan Foundation. In between, two wood chopping exhibitions to make the Basque culture known. And running parallel with this storyline, another plot. Alex Txikon takes on a high sporting challenge: to leave his footprint on the peaks of the two titans which rise above 8,000 metres, the G-1, G-2 and to top it all with the definitive ascent of K-2. Two storylines differentiated but united between them by a common denominator. Will our characters be able to conclude this adventure successfully?
