The Curavacas (2,524 ms.) is located on the southern slope of the Cantabrian Mountains, in the Fuentes Carrionas massif. It`s the summit par excellence of the Montaña Palentina Natural Park. In 2012, José María Álvarez began a photographic chronicle of this mountain, fixing his gaze on the colossal conglomerate walls and lichens of its south face. With this project of seasonal variation (2012-18), the author remains faithful to the heritage of traditional photography and his tenacity due to the absence of subsequent manipulation.
